All contributions cover the cost of materials, transportation, housing, and tools.  Each village we serve is trained to operate and maintain the water filtration systems we implement.  Courses for adults and children, including information about the importance of clean water, hygiene, and sanitation, will be taught during the installation process. Follow-up visits will be made to all communities approximately eight months after installation to make sure the the filter is functioning correctly and is well maintained. We document the installation process, record how the water filters are functioning, interview community members about use of the filter, and change in health conditions.
